Thanmai Yakkanti
BS student in Biomedical Engineering, University of Florida (expected 05/2027)
Thanmai is a second-year Biomedical Engineering major from Orlando, FL. As a member of a small group in the lab, they contribute to research on immune infiltration in gastric cancer by studying the tumor microenvironment and expanding on the foundational work of Dr. Fairbanks. Outside the lab, they enjoy reading, exploring new food and coffee spots, thrifting, and spending time with family and friends.
